Position Overview:
U.S. Water Services Corporation is seeking a motivated, hands-on Water/Wastewater Project Manager to oversee operations for the City of Audubon's water and wastewater systems, including treatment plants, wells, and lift stations. Key Responsibilities:
•Operate, monitor, and maintain the city's water and wastewater treatment facilities, wells, and lift stations.
•Perform routine sampling, lab testing, and process adjustments to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
•Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance activities, scheduling, and compliance reporting.
•Work independently and be available to cover rotating weekend shifts.
•Conduct inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment and infrastructure.
•Serve as the primary contact for city personnel regarding water and wastewater operations.
•Maintain accurate operational records and assist with annual reports and regulatory submittals.
Qualifications:
+ Iowa Grade II Water Treatment and/or Grade III Wastewater Treatment certifications, or
+ Equivalent certifications from another state with the ability to obtain Iowa certification through reciprocity.
+ Water/wastewater operations experience with the ability to earn a Grade II Water and Grade III Wastewater certification within 18 months of hire (company support provided).
•Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
•Ability to work independently and manage site operations with minimal supervision.
•Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
•Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
