Project Manager – Power BI Reporting & Dashboarding

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with advanced Power BI skills to lead and manage data reporting initiatives across multiple business units. This role requires a professional who can effectively manage projects end-to-end, while being hands-on in designing and delivering impactful Power BI dashboards and visualizations. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, turning data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage data visualization and reporting projects using Power BI.

- Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Own the full project lifecycle – planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.

- Ensure timely communication of project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

- Translate complex data into meaningful visual stories tailored to diverse audiences.

- Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and security within reporting solutions.

- Coach internal users on best practices in Power BI use and data visualization.

Qualifications

- 7–10 years of professional experience in project management with a strong data/reporting focus.

- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.

- Strong experience leading business intelligence or data-focused initiatives.

- Solid understanding of data structures, relational databases, and data warehousing concepts.

- Proven track record of managing projects that involved delivering interactive and insightful dashboards.

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Comfortable translating business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Project Management certification (PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent) is a strong asset.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred.

Work Environment

- Hybrid work model: 2 days/week in Toronto office.

- Must reside in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) or be willing to relocate.
