Overall responsibility of executing assigned projects utilizing MR Systems' Best Practices and Project Methodology. This includes the direction of project processes, supervision of project personnel and nurturing of Contractor/Engineer/Owner relationships while maintaining project budgets. Mentors junior Project Managers and Project Engineers.
A college degree is required with a major in engineering or computer science. Previous Project Management experience is essential. Good engineering, communications with technical personnel, and problem-solving skills are essential. Leadership skills are essential. Familiarity with project management, spreadsheet and word processing applications are required. Must also be able to understand and utilize engineering drawings; as well as utilize financial reports and legal documents to conduct business.
Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is required. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations, to receive ordinary information and to read and understand specifications and drawings.
Heavy lifting is not expected. Good manual dexterity is necessary for job site startup activities, as well as the use of common office equipment such as computers, and copiers.
The job is performed both indoors and outdoors in a variety of settings including MR's office, Engineer and Owner offices, equipment supplier facilities, and project jobsites. Protective safety equipment may be required including appropriate clothing, shoes, gloves, hardhat, and goggles as needed. Activities include extended periods of standing or sitting and work with instrumentation, control panels, and field equipment.
Travel to the job sites as well as Engineer and Owner offices is required as part of project management.
