HVAC Operations Manager

Cool Air Rentals is looking for an inspirational HVAC Operations Manager!

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC Operations Manager to lead our technical team in delivering top-quality heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, driving team performance, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the company’s growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will combine technical HVAC expertise with strong leadership skills to foster a culture of excellence and innovation.

What You Will Do:

· Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of HVAC apprentices and journeypersons, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment across branches.

· Operational Oversight: Oversee scheduling of apprentices and journeypersons, troubleshooting calls, maintenance projects, and ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.

· Inventory & Equipment: Manage internal repair orders, equipment builds, procure materials, and ensure equipment is maintained for operational readiness.

· Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation to achieve equipment utilization and profitability goals.

· Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and maintain proper certifications for the team and company.

· Strategic Growth: Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement strategies for business expansion, including new equipment offerings, implementing new technology, and continuous improvement to our processes.

· Training & Development: Identify skill gaps, coordinate training programs, and promote continuous learning to enhance team capabilities. You will also play an integral role in quarterly performance reviews and goal setting.

*This role requires limited travel to our branches within BC and Alberta

What You Bring to the Table:

· Red Seal HVAC Mechanic certification, with Gas ‘A’ ticket preferred.

· 5+ years in the HVAC industry in a supervisory or leadership role.

· Strong organization and time management skills.

· Deep technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance.

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

· Self-starter and problem solver who acts with a high level of integrity.

· Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and drive accountability.

· Passionate about growth and continuous learning.

· Technologically savvy with a penchant for improving workflows

· Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
