About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced

Project Development Lead

to drive the development of high-impact

transmission and substation infrastructure

projects. This is a senior-level role requiring a strategic thinker with a proven track record in utility-scale project leadership. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, aligning project execution with business objectives, and ensuring regulatory, environmental, and technical requirements are fully addressed.

Key Responsibilities

•

Lead feasibility assessments of large-scale transmission and substation projects.

•

Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

•

Facilitate communication and collaboration with internal teams, utility partners, regulators, and community stakeholders.

•

Identify and mitigate project risks related to engineering, permitting, environmental compliance, and interconnection.

•

Align project execution with long-term infrastructure strategy and business objectives.

•

Provide executive-level reporting and recommendations to senior leadership.

•

Support regulatory filings, RFP responses, and other key project documentation.

Required Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s degree

Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Construction Management

Project Management

, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

•

10+ years

of experience in

utility-scale power infrastructure development

, including

5+ years in a leadership role

•

Deep knowledge of

transmission and substation development

, interconnection processes, and utility infrastructure lifecycles.

•

Strong working knowledge of

Primavera P6

(critical),

MS Project

, and

advanced Excel

•

Experience with

Power BI

and

ERP systems

SAP

(preferred).

•

Exceptional

written and verbal communication

skills.

•

Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

•

PMP

PMI-SP

, or

AACE certifications

(e.g.,

CCP

PSP

•

Experience working with

CAISO

, or other ISO/RTO planning and interconnection processes.

•

Familiarity with

California permitting and environmental review

frameworks, including

CEQA/NEPA

•

Background with

utilities

IPPs

, or

transmission development firms

, ideally in EPC or design-build models.
