The Program Support Lead plays a critical role in overseeing the administration and continuous improvement of customer programs. This position leads technology initiatives, supports regulatory compliance, and ensures operational excellence across multiple jurisdictions. Acting as a subject matter expert on tariffs, systems, and program operations, the Program Support Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, implement strategic initiatives, and enhance program performance. Responsibilities also include managing billing and reporting processes, driving process improvements, supporting rate case activities, and providing training to internal teams and external partners.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Lead technology initiatives and implementation efforts for customer programs, ensuring alignment with the NiSource vision and organizational goals.
- Support the Team Leader in executing strategic initiatives, resolving complex issues, and guiding internal teams and external suppliers.
- Engage with departments such as Accounting, Finance, IT, Legal, and Regulatory to resolve issues and advance cross-functional initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support program success and operational excellence.
- Lead rate case strategies, respond to interrogatories, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, tariffs, and internal policies.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance through testing and documentation.
- Provide advanced technical expertise in testing business applications, especially the Customer Information System, to support regulatory rate testing and operational changes.
- Manage billing processes, oversee system issue resolution, and analyze data to support reporting, audits, and performance tracking.
- Manage, monitor, and maintain operational metrics by compiling, analyzing, and formatting complex data to support performance tracking and informed decision-making.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, evaluate new technologies, and implement standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Maintain and update manuals, reference materials, and websites to ensure accurate and accessible program documentation.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience - 2+ years of project management or support experience - 1+ year of experience utilizing analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Strong Excel experience (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, etc.)
- Experience with gas transportation, gas measurement, third party and Choice/SCO programs
- Experience with GTS, Aviator, FlowCal, and DIS/GAS/CIS
