The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $114,332 to $142,916.
Job Summary
The Program Manager, Hydro Engineering is responsible for leading multi-discipline teams and executing multiple capital investment projects through all aspects of the project lifecycle, delivering major generation projects within the specified deadlines and budget in accordance with Avangrid’s standard practices. The Program Manager role requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills crucial in resolving all issues that arise during the project lifecycle. The project portfolio consists of projects within New York State and is subject to change.
Responsibilities:
•Responsible: Overall management for planning, monitoring, appraising, reviewing and delivering the overall capital investment portfolio and individual projects contained within the portfolio and its activities in accordance with the goals of the organization.
•Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards.
•Presentation: Attend financial governance meetings, provide and present projects to leadership for review and approval.
•Leadership: Lead multi-discipline teams through the life cycle of the project.
•Documentation: Ensure project documentation is accurate, complete and retained in accordance with Avangrid Quality Management System and Record Retention Rule. Audit Quality Management System and processes; identifying trends and opportunities for improvements; implementing change.
•Develop Project Plans: Identify and develop annual and long-term capital investment plan for business including resources and budgets.
•Stakeholder Coordination: Identify stakeholders (internal / external) with respect to overall management and delivery of project. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to, external agencies, quality assurance, engineering, procurement, construction management, budget, scheduling, commissioning, and safety.
•Issue Resolution: Identify risks, prepare and complete action plans; implement and report on results, resolve problem(s).
•Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement efficiencies; accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to Avangrid and the Hydro business.
Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5-7 years of experience in Project Management running large capital investment projects.
•Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
•Ability to manage multiple capital projects simultaneously.
•Ability to manage all aspects of project (initiation to completion).
•Demonstrated experience in overseeing and coordinating multi-discipline teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Power Generation experience, Hydro preferred.
•Quality Management System / ISO-9001 experience.
•Power Generation operational experience / exposure.
