Production Team Leader

Description:

1st Shift: Monday - Thursday

6:00am - 4:00pm

Spectrum Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-quality furniture and fixtures for educational and commercial environments, is seeking a dedicated team member to lead our Panel Processing Department. This department plays a key role in our CNC-driven manufacturing process.

- Lead and support the daily operations of the Panel Processing Department, including CNC routers, edge banders, and related machinery

- Perform First Piece Article Inspections to verify compliance with specifications before releasing jobs to full production

- Use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers to verify accuracy of cuts and dimensions

- Interpret and apply blueprint reading skills to guide production and verify part accuracy

- Identify and troubleshoot basic machine issues (CNCs, routers, and edge banders), reporting more serious problems to the appropriate person when needed

- Ensure that all quality standards are consistently met throughout the production process

- Operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently

- Provide ongoing training and support to new and existing team members

- Communicate performance feedback and operational issues to the department manager

- Foster a positive and cooperative work environment that values team input and collaboration

- Perform and assist with general production duties within the department

- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a production environment, a strong understanding of quality standards, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

- High school diploma or equivalent
