Performs a variety of production support duties including, but not limited to loading, unloading, prepping, counting, sanding and packaging material safely and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
- Actively watches for quality issues and reports any quality deviations to the department lead immediately.
- Correctly packages material according to customer specifications by performing duties such as: counting, stacking, bundling, securing, and labeling.
- Ensures work areas are accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic by maintaining a clean work area at all times.
- Establishes efficient work flow based on product and task.
- Efficiently uses prepping and other supplies and notifies the correct person when supplies run low.
- Properly wears required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Correctly Racks parts according to customer specifications by performing duties such as: reading die exposures, knowing what racks to use, spacing, verify counts, color gaps, and verify colors.
- Loads/unloads material from the line in a safe manner with no damage to parts while maintaining a work pace equivalent to the line speed.
- Preps material for finishing by sanding, buffing, or other appropriate tasks.
- Wipe off/blow off product before it enters the paint booth to ensure proper adhesion.
- Operates small hand tools including, but not limited to a sander, towels, and blow-off gun.
- Knowledge of production operations and experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read, count, perform simple math equations and accurately measure is required.
- Previous experience with small hand tools is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a team or independently.
- Previous work experience on paint line.
