PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

SUMMARY
Direct and monitor, on a daily basis, production work activities, progress and resources necessary to efficiently meet the production schedule and performance metrics. Review schedules to make decisions concerning staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering production expectations and time constraints. This position reports to the Production Manager, or another management personnel that the President of the Company may designate. This position is located in North Jackson, OH and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM and Saturday through Sunday from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM (Saturday) and 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM (Sunday) local time. Overtime and weekend working hours may be required as needed. This position is expected to travel up to 5%.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Sample preparation including cutting, and sample identification.
•Weld Crush Test utilizing a small 50-ton press.
•Portable CMM measurement of production parts.
•Ultrasonic Testing of material gauge and coating.
•Calibration and verification of testing equipment.
•Micrometer measurements of samples.
•Quality production part report generation.
•Data entry into ERP System and quality test reports.
•Maintenance and physical control of quality test equipment.
•Trouble shoot and schedule testing equipment repairs as needed.
•Control Quality Cage work area including the bandsaw, 50-ton press and Quality Hold Area.
•Place material “On Hold” for disposition by the Senior Quality Engineer while having material moved to the hold area and recording data into the ERP system.
•Maintain the orderliness of the quality laboratory quality cage area.
•Assist Sr. Quality Engineer as requested.
•Testing and data entry timeliness and accuracy.
•Reporting accuracy and timeliness.
•Performs other duties assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Minimum 5 years testing laboratory experience, or technical associate degree, or relevant trade school certificate with CMM experience or training.
•Medium or higher level of computer literacy.
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
•Quality system and/or ISO experience.

•Manual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move hands, or hands together with arms, to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects is necessary for controlling machines and handling tools.
•Vision: Close and distance vision are crucial, along with depth perception and the ability to distinguish colors, for navigating and operating the equipment safetly.
•Sitting/Standing/Walking: The role requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time during the shift.
•Flexibility: Bending, stooping, twisting, and crouching may be required for tasks like inspecting equipment, or navigating tight spaces.
•Reaching: Using arms to reach for controls and materials is a regular part of the job.
