Production Supervisor
Summary of Position
In the Production Control Supervisor role you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of orders through the operation to ensure on time delivery of orders. You will also maintain the organization’s inventory to ensure accurate records of all procurements.
Responsibilities and Duties
•Supervise team to meet company expectations of safety rules and regulations, quality standards, customer satisfaction, productivity, and on-time delivery
•Supervise and coordinate activities of production planning and scheduling
•Conducts timecard approvals, disciplinary actions, performance counseling, terminations, 90-day and annual reviews
•Track records, safety, production, attendance, performance appraisals, and disciplinary performance and report to Director of Operations
•Work with Production Supervisors, Quality, and Sales related staff to ensure on time delivery of orders throughout the production schedule steps
•Act as liaison between sales staff, management, planning, and production staff by communicating all schedule deviations and items to be addressed
•Manage and maintain inventory system; facilitate upgrades to database and ERP software with the direction of purchasing or the Director of Operations
•Manage weekly, periodic, and annual physical inventory audits
•Operate a forklift truck when necessary
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
•Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining
•Excellent communication skills with operations’ employees, salespeople, and managers
•Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
•High level of organization and capable of working with minimum supervision
•Ability to perform basic math calculations with a proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel & Outlook
Education and Experience
•High school diploma or equivalent required
•Experience with computerized inventory systems required
•Experience in metals and/or machining environments preferred
•Experience in a management role preferred
•Forklift experience preferred

•Kneeling/Crawling/Twisting/Balancing/Bending/Climbing
•Close vision (sharp vision at 36 inches or less)
•Weights to be lifted/pushed/pulled: Up to 50 pounds—w/ assistance and/or w/ a lifting device
