Xcel Energy is seeking a dynamic individual to join the Customer Technology Portfolio as a key contributor to two major initiatives aimed at enhancing digital experiences for both internal customer service representatives and end customers. This role involves defining, prioritizing, and communicating the product vision and backlog for a cross-functional agile team. The successful candidate will ensure that features and functionality deliver measurable value, fostering collaboration among various stakeholders while driving the success of critical projects.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the agile development team.
- Own and maintain the product backlog; ensure stories are clear, complete, and aligned to business priorities.
- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Owners, Solution Architects, Scrum Masters, Developers, and Test/Release Managers.
- Coordinate dependencies across multiple technology teams and customer-facing groups.
- Support quarterly program increment (PI) planning sessions in either Minneapolis or Denver (limited travel required).
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Product Owner in an agile environment.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification (preferred).
- Experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst (preferred).
- Industry background in utilities, financial services, or healthcare (preferred).
