Procurement & Administrative Support Specialist

Sark Wire is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office management and administrative support, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role involves sourcing and purchasing goods and services, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring that procurement processes align with company policies.

Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage procurement of materials, supplies, and services from local vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing.

- Create and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) in SAP for all purchased items.

- Provide administrative support to foreign employees relocating on work visas, including assistance with:

- Obtaining Social Security Numbers (SSNs)

- Opening bank accounts

- Securing housing accommodations

- Applying for a driver’s license

- Coordinate company vehicle needs, including scheduling and transporting cars for service or repair.

- Support day-to-day operational requirements, including but not limited to:

- Assisting with small office setups such as arranging workstations, assembling chairs or desks, and organizing common areas

- Handling light in-house tasks such as moving supplies, unpacking shipments, or distributing office materials

- Coordinating minor logistical needs (e.g., preparing meeting rooms, assisting with office moves, setting up simple equipment)

- Sending and receiving packages through carriers such as UPS, USPS, or FedEx

- Providing general administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Experience in procurement, administration, or similar support roles preferred.

- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach.

- Valid driver’s license required.

Work Environment:

- The role involves occasional visits to vendor facilities and coordination with service providers.

- Proper protective equipment will be provided if required for specific tasks.

Physical Demands:

· Ability to lift 25–40 lbs. occasionally (e.g., office supplies, small furniture, tools).

· Comfortable with light physical tasks such as assembling furniture, setting up desks, or moving office equipment.

· Frequent standing, walking, and occasional bending or reaching may be required.

· Must be able to drive to local vendors and transport purchased items as needed.
