The Savannah Division has an opening for a Processing Equipment Operator, working in a heavy steel warehouse environment.

1. Survey the area and provide for storage of stock and in-process material and keep work station, clean, safe and organized.
2. Properly lift material and transport to destination with overhead cranes.
3. Properly land material in proper position on the burning tables and remove/attach magnets, chains, slings and other lifting attachments in a safe and secure manner.
4. Identify and retrieve the proper material according to work instructions or tickets. Verify heat numbers match the grade to be processed.
5. Perform pre-shift crane, chain and lifting attachments inspection and document on inspection sheet.
6. Cut simple and complex parts.
7. Perform inspection following the procedures on the control plans and hold to tolerances as specified on the work order/ticket, drawing or control plans.
8. Finish material to customer specifications, package and mark/tag accordingly.
9. Mark heat numbers on all drops and return to storage.
10. Use specified measuring devices properly.
11. Communicate with other workers and supervisors.
12. Understand and comply with safety rules and regulations.
13. Keep work areas and crane clean and free of debris and safety hazards.
14. Experienced in one or more of the following equipment types, CNC shear, drill, press brake, burning machine, band saw and ironworker.
1. Able to read and comprehend work and safety rules, operating procedures and instructions.
2. Able to read measuring devises, color code charts, drawings, work instructions and other instructions.
3. Able to verbally communicate with other workers and management.
5. Able to operate crane in safe manner.
7. Able to cut material to established quality standards and quantities.
