The Assistant Process Engineer supports and improves manufacturing processes directly related to solar cell production. This role requires hands-on engagement with production lines, focusing on process optimization, yield improvement, and cost reduction. The engineer will work closely with operations and equipment teams to monitor, analyze, and improve specific steps within the manufacturing process flow (e.g., diffusion, PECVD, ALD, screen printing, firing, testing, etc.).
-Provide in-depth technical support for specific manufacturing processes
-Troubleshoot process abnormalities based on line data, yield loss, or equipment alarms, and identify root causes.
-Lead and participate in cost reduction and process improvement projects targeting.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new process recipes or equipment modifications.
-Create and maintain SOPs, control plans, and PFMEA documents for assigned processes.
-Translate process know-how into visual aids or checklists for operators and technicians.
-Implement process control systems (SPC) and define critical process parameters (CPPs) per station.
-Track key metrics such as cell efficiency, bin yield, and defect rates tied to specific tools or steps.
-Train shift technicians and operators on process behavior, inspection points, and daily control routines.
-Communicate changes in procedures or parameters during DOE runs or process change implementation.
-Support safety audits related to chemical usage (e.g., for ALD or etching steps).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant technical field (e.g., materials, chemical, mechanical, or electrical).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical approach.
- Proven technical acumen.
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical college diploma.
- The ability to effectively interface with all management levels and other client business units.
