Process Engineer

SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team at Gillibrand Industrial Sands, LLC. This role will be pivotal in optimizing our manufacturing processes and ensuring the highest quality standards in our industrial sand production. The ideal candidate will contribute significantly to our commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

This position will be responsible for providing operational support to various teams within the company. They will focus on continuously improving existing processes, efficiency improvement, plant reliability improvement and capital projects. This position will report to VP of Operations.

JOB DUTIES

- This position will be responsible for providing operational support to various teams within the company.

- Work collaboratively to develop and/or improve plant systems, processes, policies, controls, and operational procedures

- Contribute effectively to improving plant efficiency

- Identify bottlenecks in current operation and provide solutions

- Develop and implement capital projects

- Partner with plant maintenance teams in improving reliability of plant equipment

- Conduct time studies and detailed analysis on sub processes in quarry and processing plant to improve efficiencies

- Continuously improve employee capabilities through training.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Chemical / Mechanical / Materials / Mineral Processing).; 2-4 years related experience

This position is bonus eligible (10%)

PERSONAL COMPETENCIES

- Must have ability to travel overnight and to work within the plant environment, as well as the ability to respond to issues outside or during normal operating hours are essential job functions of this position.

- Must be a self-starter able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

- Must be willing to work extended hours as required to meet deadlines and resolve plant problems.

- Strong computer skills and basic financial skills (analysis, budgeting, and planning and project management) are necessary for this position. PLC programming familiarization a plus.

- Knows appropriate negotiating tactics and able to negotiate agreements without compromising principles.

- Effective communicator, with excellent oral and written communication skills.

WORK DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit for long periods of time; use close vision and hands/fingers to type;

- This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

- This position requires frequent hearing, reaching, talking, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
