About This Job
Purpose of the Position:
•
To simulate process utilizing appropriate software and create deliverables associated with both FEED and Detail Engineering, such as PFDs, Heat & Material Balances, Equipment Datasheets, and Utility Summaries
Principal Responsibilities:
•
Simulate process designs utilizing chemical engineering software
•
Develop PFDs, Heat & Material Balances, Equipment Data Sheets, and Utility Summaries
•
Size vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, piping and relief systems
•
Review vendor quotes and internal designs of heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, columns, etc.
•
Develop control narratives and operation manuals
•
Assist in HAZOP Studies, design reviews, and specification development
•
Participate in planning, cost development, and scheduling for projects
Required Qualifications:
•
Minimum 5 years of experience in Chemical/Process Engineering with an EPC or similar
•
B.S. in Chemical Engineering
•
Experience engineering and designing new facilities
•
Experience with UniSim Design Suite
•
Ability to read, understand, and utilize process drawings
•
Knowledge of industry standards (ISA, ASME, NEC, PIP, etc.)
•
Strong verbal and written communication skills
•
Ability to work effectively with minimal oversite
•
Professional Engineer license for the State of Texas
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Experience working directly with fabrication Facilities
•
Experience with start-up and/or commissioning
•
Experience in Hydrogen or Methanol facilities
•
Experience with modular units (skids) design
