Purpose of the Position:
•To simulate process utilizing appropriate software and create deliverables associated with both FEED and Detail Engineering, such as PFDs, Heat & Material Balances, Equipment Datasheets, and Utility Summaries
Principal Responsibilities:
•Simulate process designs utilizing chemical engineering software
•Develop PFDs, Heat & Material Balances, Equipment Data Sheets, and Utility Summaries
•Size vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, piping and relief systems
•Review vendor quotes and internal designs of heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, columns, etc.
•Develop control narratives and operation manuals
•Assist in HAZOP Studies, design reviews, and specification development
•Participate in planning, cost development, and scheduling for projects
Required Qualifications:
•Minimum 5 years of experience in Chemical/Process Engineering with an EPC or similar
•B.S. in Chemical Engineering
•Experience engineering and designing new facilities
•Experience with UniSim Design Suite
•Ability to read, understand, and utilize process drawings
•Knowledge of industry standards (ISA, ASME, NEC, PIP, etc.)
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to work effectively with minimal oversite
•Professional Engineer license for the State of Texas
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience working directly with fabrication Facilities
•Experience with start-up and/or commissioning
•Experience in Hydrogen or Methanol facilities
•Experience with modular units (skids) design
