: Process Engineer
: Monday – Friday
: 60%-70% to West Texas
: Houston, TX & Pecos, TX
Duration
: 12 months with possibility to go longer with the majority (at least 75%) of the time spent at the Pecos Gas Plant in Pecos, TX. Any time not spent at the plant would be in the companies Houston office (Monday and Friday remote, Tuesday through Thursday in person).
1.
Maximize facility throughput to achieve company and customer production goals1. Observe cryogenic gas plant operations and coordinate with operations to implement process optimizations to meet or exceed and sustain plant recovery targets during steady state and transient (pig receipt) conditions
2. Collaborate with plant operations to identify and implement process and procedural improvements
3. Evaluate and mitigate process equipment and control system failures; participate in RCA’s
4. Identify potential operational bottlenecks limiting plant recoveries or throughput
5. Participate as may be requested in weekly Plant Mode planning meetings
2.
Ensure company assets meet or exceed required performance requirements and downstream shipper quality specifications1. Perform trend analysis to identify equipment with suboptimal performance and provide performance restoration recommendations
2. Assist plant operations in identifying, evaluating, and troubleshooting operational issues as required
3. Support plant Operations Readiness for critical project startup
4. Update Symmetry (or ProMax) process simulations and perform mass & material balances to support emissions reporting, assist in rectifying measurement imbalances, estimate system contaminant concentrations, and optimize performance
3.
Ensure in-service assets are in compliance with all Regulatory, Environmental, Health & Safety, and companies ESG requirements1. Monitor plant flare emissions and identify opportunities for emissions reduction
