SUMMARY
The Process Applications Engineer will be a key part of the commercial and engineering team, focusing on direct client engagement and supporting efforts to optimize process flow and equipment for hydrocarbon markets in the Upstream and Midstream sectors. This role will have the opportunity to bring fresh, innovative perspectives to define and develop customer solutions for project applications including gas processing, treating, compression, dehydration, condensate stabilization, storage, and metering. This position offers a dynamic environment with direct client interaction, engaging both your technical expertise and entrepreneurial spirit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Provides process design/validation and product engineering support in a liaison role between end user and Westerman.
•Prepares complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles.
•Leads client and contractor interface, with commercial support.
•Leads field evaluations of existing process units.
•Creates process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), provides design and interprets client design documentation for downstream estimating and engineering disciplines.
•Conceptual development of project scope and estimating new project proposals.
•Assists in constructability planning, proposal and estimating development.
•Ability to lead internal and client related meetings for detailed walkthoughs and explanation of design documents (P&IDs, equipment sizing, cause and effect, plot plan).
•Provides technical support for business development conceptual phase to completion.
•Assesses the soundness of technical proposals.
•Ability to develop technical and commercial proposals that align with customer specifications and industry standards.
•Performs other duties as assigned and required.
REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering required.
•Minimum of 5 years previous engineering experience in a related industry required.
•Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time.
•Must understand details of oil and gas processes and processing equipment.
•Prior knowledge of Oil and Gas Process software such as ProMax and Compress required.
•Professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
•Strong business acumen and analytical skills required.
•Ability to complete work assignments with minimal supervision required.
•Proven ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders to accomplish project goals on time required.
•Self-starter; able to manage multiple tasks/projects/initiatives successfully required.
•Must work with a sense of urgency and ownership.
