Principal Process Engineer

Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. JOB TITLE: Principal Process Engineer

JOB DUTIES:

- Support the development and progression of the Ready for Operations (RFO) schedule to transition the facility from EPC to the operations phase.

- Serve as the project focal points for all areas of process engineering to ensure that the project is executed according to agreed budgets, schedules, and design requirements.

- Responsible for process engineering deliverables to ensure they comply with the project design and operation philosophies.

- Prepare heat and material balance, process flow diagrams, piping, and instrumentation diagrams.

- Responsible for system design parameters, and design or rating of equipment such as heat exchangers, vessels, towers, etc. and provide technical guidance on complex design issues.

- Review and coordinate with licensors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure proper and complete integration within the project plan.

- Development of process simulations for complex units, updates and modifies process simulation models.

- Process improvement studies, performance optimization, incident investigations, economic evaluations, technical audits, and safety studies.

- Support during construction to ensure site technical queries, non-conformances, concession requests are properly resolved.

- Evaluation of requests for deviations or exemptions to the established specifications and project standards.

- Perform economic evaluations of equipment alternatives with particular emphasis on availability and reliability projections and life cycle costs.

15% domestic travel required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: This job requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience as a Senior Process Engineer in the LNG industry. Requires current or prior Professional Engineer's (PE) License or IChemE membership.

Job also requires experience in each of the following:

- Experience in all aspects of process engineering from conceptual design, economics, detailed engineering, and plant startup and troubleshooting.

- Experience commissioning, start-up, and performance testing at project sites.

- Experience with key equipment involved in LNG liquefaction facilities.

- Experience with computer skills; Microsoft Office software, and discipline specific software applications including HYSYS, Aspen Plus.

- Experience with the application of relevant major design codes and standards, including API 520, API 521, ALPHEMA Standard & NFPA 59A.

- Experience in the process design and operation of major Natural Gas Liquefaction technologies, including one or more of the following: Optimized cascade, C3MR or SMR.

- Experience with successfully troubleshooting and optimization of LNG Liquefaction trains.

- Experience in the operation of Acid Gas Reduction Units (AGRU) in gas processing service, including the history of resolution of unit performance issues and process optimization.

- Experience in the leadership of teams appraising and selecting solutions to engineering issues and projects.

- Experience in the leadership of process engineering teams in an operating LNG facility providing process engineering support to the operation.

- Experience in the development and execution of HYSIS process simulations for use in LNG and Hydrocarbon processing duty.

- Experience in the developing operating procedures for use in the LNG environment.
