Pressroom Lead – 1st Shift

Location: Wallingford, Connecticut Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Overtime as required)

About the Company: Component Engineers is a leading manufacturer with full machining and stamping capabilities, holding ISO 13485, AS9100, and ITAR certifications. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Pressroom Lead to join our team and oversee the pressroom operations.

Job Overview: The Pressroom Lead is responsible for supervising the pressroom operations, ensuring the efficient setup and operation of presses, overseeing personnel, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. The successful candidate will also ensure the proper documentation is completed and work with management to resolve any operational issues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and lead pressroom personnel, ensuring safety and productivity.

- Set up and run all tooling and dies for press operations.

- Oversee loading and unloading of products and materials.

- Enforce safety and cleanliness standards in the pressroom.

- Fill out appropriate paperwork for job tracking and maintenance.

- Perform routine maintenance checks on machines and ensure machines are properly maintained.

- Train department personnel on press operations and safety procedures.

- Resolve issues and complaints as they arise, liaising with management as needed.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma, technical school, or equivalent required.

- Strong background and experience in press operations.

- Proven ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.

- Knowledge of safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on the floor.

- Strong communication and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
