Prequalification Specialist
Position Summary:
This role ensures that Global is prequalified with the right General Contractors and Owners to win strategic work—and is constantly advancing our positioning through completed projects and momentum-based outreach. Equal parts organizer and opportunity spotter, this person maintains prequalification readiness across all divisions while leveraging new wins to increase limits, unlock new client tiers, and support our go-to-market strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Prequalification Management
•Own all prequalification submissions for Roofing, Metal, FM/Service, and Waterproofing divisions
•Maintain a centralized documentation library (W-9s, bonding, safety data, licensing, org charts, etc.)
•Keep a master project reference sheet updated by division, market vertical, and contract size
•Respond to standard prequal requests within 48 hours
Strategic Packaging by Target Market
•Tailor submissions for General Contractors (Design Assist, bonding, constructability)
•Customize packages for Owners (Capital Planning, tenant satisfaction, leak response)
•Collaborate with marketing to maintain market-specific capability sheets and project profiles
Momentum-Based Business Development
•Proactively pursue contract limit increases with existing clients after major project completions
•Use project wins to initiate prequals with new high-tier GCs and Owners
•Partner with BD to identify under-leveraged relationships and target new regional offices or verticals
Sales & Proposal Support
•Support job-specific prequal requests for pursuit teams and estimators
•Act as a capture manager for large or strategic proposals—gathering inputs, formatting submissions, and ensuring alignment with company messaging and brand standards
•Maintain a library of pursuit-ready content (resumes, case studies, insurance docs, FAQs, etc.)
Tracking & Tools (Microsoft Teams)
•Manage a centralized Prequal Tracker in Teams:
o GC/Owner prequal status
o Max contract values and expiration dates
o Assigned internal owners
o Submission history and versioning
•Maintain a live renewal calendar, Teams-based file system, and internal request form for new prequal needs
Internal Enablement
•Monitor and manage an internal Prequalification Request Form housed in Teams
•Collaborate cross-functionally with BD, estimating, ops, and marketing to fulfill requests and gather necessary inputs
•Educate internal teams on prequal strategy and when to engage
Success Metrics (KPIs)
•Prequal coverage across top 50 GCs and 20 Owner Portfolios
•Prequal submission turnaround time under 5 business days
•Number of successful limit increases and new GC approvals tied to recent wins
•Case studies or capability sheets produced quarterly to support submissions
•Active visibility and use of Teams-based prequal tracker and internal request process
Required Skills & Experience
•3–5 years of experience in construction, AEC, or related industries
•Familiarity with prequalification platforms (e.g., Building Connected, Avetta, COMPASS)
•Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Lists, SharePoint
•Strong project coordination and professional communication skills
•High attention to detail and ability to manage concurrent deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
•CRM familiarity (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
•Proposal or pursuit management experience
•Working knowledge of verticals like Data Centers, Healthcare, or Cold Storage
