Please note that this is a sheet metal fabricator position in a job shop environment.
Press Brake Technicians are responsible for figuring blank sizes based on provided bend allowances, selecting tooling and completing the job with little or no supervision and guidance.
Successful completion of written and practical metal forming skills assessment is required to receive a job offer.
*Substantial experience (1+ years) in Precision Custom Metal Fabrication with tolerances as close as .010", Shearing, Punching, Forming (bend allowances, back gauge settings, etc), and Assemblies.
*Knowledge and practice in figuring shear blank sizes using standard bend allowances.
*Extensive experience in sheet metal layout and forming with press brake.
*Extensive experience in use of CNC brake press back gauges.
*Ability to identify Carbon Steel, Galvanized Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel.
*Experience & knowledge of MIG & TIG welding techniques.
*Bend Allowance Figuring for Blank Sizes: 3 years
Compensation based on skills and experience. Hours are 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Thursday, with occasional overtime on Friday..
