- Conduct power system studies using various simulation platforms.

- Analyze and verify the performance of FACTS plants in the connected grid.

- Perform voltage regulation and operation studies during wide-area disturbances.

- Engage in power oscillation damping and sub-synchronous interaction analysis.

- Investigate failures and tune advanced controllers.

- Create detailed reports and present findings to customers.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project and tender deliveries.

- Participate in customer meetings to understand and address their needs.

- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in electrical engineering or a related field.

- Ten years of experience in power systems and control system analysis.

- Proficiency in PSCAD, RTDS, PSSE, or other power system simulation tools.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

- Extensive knowledge of high-power electronic converters and their control.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results.

- Travel will be required on occasion, both domestic and international. An initial training period for several weeks/months in Sweden is also required.

- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
