Metal Works Powder Coating is a locally owned and operated company in Hamilton. Our mission is to use eco-friendly products to provide long lasting weather resistant finish on capable surfaces.

Key Responsibilities and duties

•

Prepare surfaces for powder coating

•

Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces

•

Set up and operate Media blast equipment

•

Clean and repair media blasting equipment regularly

•

Load and unload materials

•

Mask and cover surfaces not being painted as required

•

Use a variety of powder coating equipment

•

Regulate controls on equipment to cure the powder

•

Ensure high level of cleanliness in work areas

•

Inspect and package finished product

•

Ensure high level of customer satisfaction

Job Requirements:

•

Ability to work in extreme temperatures and conditions (Example: Hot oven/outside)

•

Required to stand for a long period of time

•

Heavy lifting – must be able to lift at least 50lbs

•

Keen attention to detail and quality

•

Strong communication skills

•

Ability to work independently or as a team

•

Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

•

Comply with the Metal Works Powder Coating policies and procedures

•

Day Shift - 7:30am - 4:00pm

•

Benefits after 6 months

Previous Powder Coating experience is required.

Forklift license would be beneficial but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week

Experience:

Media Blasting: 1 year (preferred)

•

Powder Coating: 2 years (required)
