The PMO Analyst, Tools and reporting, plays a pivotal role in supporting project governance, and continuous improvement across all Canada Gas Projects. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project management tools and reporting frameworks that enable data-driven decision-making and enhance project delivery performance.
The PMO analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with corporate standards, facilitates initiatives, and drives consistency in project execution through standardized processes and tools.
- Tool Development & Optimization: Design, implement, and maintain Canada Gas project governance tools, dashboards, and templates to support consistent project execution and reporting.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate and distribute senior management reports summarizing project KPIs, compliance metrics, and continual improvement initiatives, as needed.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancement and lead initiatives to improve project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project teams, leadership, and support functions to ensure alignment on project governance and tool usage.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain and update intranet content, SharePoint sites, and documentation repositories to ensure accessibility and accuracy of project resources.
- Conduct thorough governance assurance activities to ensure conformance with TC Project Delivery Standard (PDS), as required
- Oversee the project tracking tools, including responsibilities such as training, reporting, tool enhancements, and general user support.
- Develop and distribute communications across the Projects Organization, including quarterly newsletters, and ad-hoc updates.
- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with project personnel and support teams.
- Collaborate with the Quality team to identify and share lessons learned throughout the organization.
- Drive alignment / consistency across project teams (process consistency)
- Degree / technical diploma or equivalent experience required; Business Management, Human Resource Management, Engineering, or Project Management certification preferred
- PMP or CAPM or Six Sigma Certification preferred
- Minimum 8 or more years of related experience
- Experience developing and delivering formal training
- Knowledge and experience with project and portfolio management processes, policies, and principles
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps/Power BI).
- Experience developing and managing SharePoint sites.
- Proficiency with various Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project).
- Understanding of process mapping
