Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and experienced Construction Plumber to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems, fixtures, and equipment on construction and mining sites. This includes water supply, drainage, air systems, and occasionally industrial piping related to processing operations. The role requires working in remote or rugged environments and coordinating closely with mechanical and construction teams to ensure safe and efficient plumbing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and repair plumbing systems including water, air, sewer, and fuel lines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and schematics to determine plumbing layout and specifications.
- Install and maintain pumps, valves, pressure regulators, water heaters, tanks, and pipe systems.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Perform pressure tests and diagnostics to identify leaks or defects.
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other trades to complete system installations.
- Operate heavy equipment (when necessary) to dig trenches or install underground lines.
- Maintain inventory of plumbing tools, parts, and materials.
- Complete work orders, reports, and inspections accurately and timely.
- Work in outdoor or confined spaces as needed, sometimes in extreme weather conditions or around heavy machinery.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a certified plumbing apprenticeship program.
- Valid state plumbing license (if applicable).
- 3+ years of plumbing experience, preferably in industrial or construction environments.- Familiarity with mining operations is a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in remote or challenging environments.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs, climbing, and working on uneven terrain.- Work performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including remote mine sites and active construction zones.
- Exposure to dust, noise, heat, and hazardous materials is common.
- PPE (personal protective equipment) required at all times on site.
- Rate of Pay – $30 - $35 per hour DOE
- Per Diem – $110 - $200 Based on location
