Job Description

- Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the job.

- Use and inspect the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Follow all company safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

- Operate plasma cutting machines to cut metal materials according to specifications.

- Set up plasma cutting machines, load materials, and ensure that the production process runs smoothly.

- Read basic blueprints or sketches to cut metal components to precise measurements.

- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

- Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and ensure proper product alignment.

- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of plasma cutting equipment.

- Assist with machine setup, stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finished workpieces.

- Operate air tools, power tools, and other equipment according to safety policies.

- Move materials between machinery, baskets, racks, and pallets.

- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean as needed.

- Report safety concerns, near misses, property damage, and injuries immediately.

- Work 40 hours per week, plus overtime as needed.

Job Specifications

I. Required Skills

- At least 1 year of experience operating plasma cutting equipment; 1–3 years preferred.

- Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings, blueprints, or sketches.

- Strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance.

- Ability to establish and maintain courtesy, dignity, trust, and respect with supervisors and coworkers.

- Effective communication in person, by telephone, and via two-way radio.

- Familiarity with safe work practices and safety procedures.

- Must have basic math skills.

- Must possess a strong work ethic, be punctual, and be able to work day, evening, or night shifts.

- Must have a valid driver’s license.

II. Physical Requirements

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening.

- Able to lift 50 to 75 pounds and stand, reach, and bend throughout an 8–10 hour shift.

- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

- Must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
