Plant Operator -Aggregate Industry

Pacific Aggregates, Inc., manufacturer and supplier of aggregates and ready mix materials in Lake Elsinore is seeking an experienced aggregate plant Belt Press Operator, responsible for running and maintaining belt press plant in an efficient and safe manner.

Must be available to work a flexible schedule which includes night shift

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Along with other crew-members, a belt press operator needs to be able to operate, inspect, maintain, and repair production equipment.

· Must be able to trouble shoot equipment, help resolve operational problems, and understand process flow.

· Must be able to work unsupervised while successfully completing the assigned task.

· Required to understand the processes and the procedures involved in the production of the various products manufactured.

· Must possess essential skills and abilities some of which are dependability, conscientiousness, concentration, the ability to focus, to pay close attention to detail, and the ability to read and understand instructions.

· Complies with all safety, environmental, and regulatory laws relating to plant operations.

· Follows the Company’s Employee Standards of Expectations of Behavior.

· Maintains a safe work environment by following all Company safety rules, standard operating procedures and general management practices.

· Shovels material’s from area to be repaired or for general housekeeping purposes.

· Must be able to perform heavy work and heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. with occasional lifting up to 90 lbs.

· Computer literate. A computer literate person is not an expert, but a person with a fair amount of computer skills.

· Perform other duties as directed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education

- A high school graduate, GED or better is preferred.

Experience

- Portable and fixed plant operation experience preferred.

- Ability to perform general repairs and maintenance preferred

- Minimum of three years of experience in the aggregates industry preferred.

Licenses

- MSHA certification preferred.

- Forklift certification preferred.

Successful candidate must submit to a post offer pre-employment physical exam, drug screen and background check.

Position may initially start through a temporary agency. If performance and work ethic is satisfactory, candidate will be considered for a permanent position.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
