As a key executive leader, the Plant Manager is responsible for the overall operational, financial, and strategic performance of our custom aluminum extrusion facility in Paramount, CA. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on, transformational leader who blends technical expertise, people development, and business insight. The successful candidate will strengthen our legacy while modernizing operations, building high-performing teams, and aligning execution with long-term strategic growth.
· Act as a core member of the executive leadership team, helping shape the company’s long-term strategy and operational vision.
· Evaluate and implement capital investment strategies, automation initiatives, and infrastructure improvements for growth and competitiveness.
· Position Paramount Extrusions as a forward-thinking leader in the aluminum industry while honoring its legacy and craftsmanship.
· Partner with Sales, Finance, and R&D to align production capabilities with market demand and profitability goals.
· Oversee end-to-end aluminum extrusion processes, including raw material management, extrusion, finishing, and packaging.
· Ensure maximum throughput, quality, safety, and delivery while minimizing downtime and waste.
· Own KPIs and metrics that drive production efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
· Champion lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
· Build and mentor a strong leadership team and empower staff at all levels.
· Implement workforce retention strategies including onboarding, training, and engagement initiatives.
· Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning.
· Manage a diverse team of 100+ employees across production, engineering, and support functions.
· Manage plant budgets to achieve productivity, margin, and cost-saving goals.
· Leverage ERP and analytics systems to monitor operations, reduce waste, and identify growth opportunities.
· Support margin improvement through strategic resource allocation, labor efficiency, and material optimization.
· Ensure proactive compliance with OSHA, ISO 9001, and environmental regulations.
· Lead a safety-first culture where safety is a core value across all operations.
· Oversee quality control systems and corrective action protocols to meet customer and certification standards.
· 10+ years of leadership in metals, extrusion, or heavy manufacturing.
· Experience in other heavy manufacturing environments will be considered if extrusion knowledge is demonstrated.
· Track record of plant management, operational excellence, and executive team participation.
· Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent process improvement.
· Strong ERP/MRP knowledge and supply chain integration experience.
· Proven success in team leadership and developing high-performance cultures.
· Financial fluency in budgeting, cost control, and margin improvement.
· Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business (MBA preferred).
· History of scaling a manufacturing facility for aggressive growth.
