Our success is built on reputation, workmanship, and teamwork — and we’re looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead our growing production team.
Position Summary:
The Plant Manager will oversee all day-to-day production activities within our fabrication facility located in Spencerport New York, managing a workforce of up to 100 employees through effective collaboration with department managers and team leaders. This position is responsible for driving operational excellence, safety, efficiency, and quality across multiple departments — including Laser cutting, Welding, Machining, Forming, Assembly, and Shipping.
- Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for all production departments: Laser cutting, Welding, Machining, Forming, Assembly, and Shipping.
- Collaborate closely with management and team leaders to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Monitor workflow and allocate resources to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Implement and maintain continuous manufacturing improvement initiatives.
- Track customer purchase orders to ensure goals for quality, delivery, and cost are met.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and communication throughout the production floor.
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluation of team leaders and production staff.
- Work directly with engineering, quality, and ownership to resolve production issues and improve processes.
- Minimum [5 ] years of experience in a manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication environment, with at least [2 ] years in a supervisory or management role is desirable
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes including laser cutting, welding, machining, forming, assembly, and finishing.
- Proven leadership skills managing large teams (80–100 employees).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- On site, hands on approach to leadership.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-mix, low and high volume manufacturing environment.
