About This Job


Primary Purpose:

The Turnaround Planner will work closely with Maintenance, Operations, Marine, Safety, and Engineering to create, develop work plans for execution during facility shutdowns. The planner should have a complete understanding of scheduling and development of both long and short term work plans including both corrective & preventative maintenance work order requirements based upon equipment O&M manuals, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Engineering, and best practices while ensuring Risk Assessment Management is applied to all work plans before scheduling, planning and work execution must include technical and safety procedures, recognized standards and company policies. Provide reports and updates to supervision through regularly scheduled meetings both during planning & scheduling phase and on through execution and start up.

This position has weekend work requirements and call out responsibilities. This position is located in Hackberry, LA. Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) is required. Employees’ primary residence must be located within a one-hour drive from the Hackberry plant site. This measure will assure that response time for callouts is kept to a minimum, which increases the safety of our employees in an unexpected or emergent situation.


Responsibilities:

- Build work plans in CMMS for Turnaround activities

- Work closely with turnaround schedulers to prepare, develop, and prioritize work orders to fit time frames required by facility management, conduct work order Risk Assessments, and manage maintenance work order backlog that requires facility shutdown to perform required work

- Participate in turnarounds by working closely with contractors and company personnel to assist with meeting planned goals and changing work scopes

- Generate reports for management review

- Assist in development of turnaround budget and cost control, help set KPI’s, outside service selection and scheduling, pre-turnaround personnel and equipment staging areas, timely initiation of MOC’s as required by company policy as it pertains to work plans and upcoming schedule

- Initiate purchase requests to meet work plan requirements (equipment/tool rental, spare parts, external services, and more)

- Interfaces with other Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, HSSE, Contractors and other departments as needed to insure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation

- Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications:


Education:

- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED


Experience:


Required:

- 0-3 years working experience in large scale Routine Maintenance & Turnaround Maintenance

- Experience in Heavy Industrial Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Maintenance

- Maintenance Planning & Scheduling experience


Preferred:

- Experience in Liquefied Natural Gas or Natural Gas processing, or

- Experience with cryogenic storage, specifically LNG

- Experience in CMMS systems preferably SAP, and Primavera for scheduling

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to stand, walk, climb, run, sit, kneel, twist, bend, pull, push, carry, lift, reach overhead and drive. Most activities involve movement of either the upper and lower body extremities or both and the joints associated with these areas of the body.

- Must be able to enter confined spaces.

- Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces and climb stairs and ladders that ranges from 4 ft to 200 ft.

- Must be able to lift equipment needed to perform work.

- Must be able to wear safety equipment and other protective equipment as needed to perform job.

- When outdoors, this classification is exposed to extremes of heat, cold, loud noise and dust.

- Must be able to sit at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods of time.

- Must be willing to be on call, work outside of normal business hours as required and handle emergency response responsibilities.

- Must be able and willing to travel for trainings and/or meetings as required.
