Piping Isometric Autocad Drafter

Stronghold Inspection is seeking an experienced Piping Isometric AutoCAD Drafter to join our on-site inspection and engineering support team. This position works closely with API inspectors, planners, and engineers to develop accurate piping isometric drawings that support repair plans, replacements, and mechanical integrity documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create and update piping isometric drawings in AutoCAD from field sketches, walkdowns, and P&IDs.

• Collaborate with inspection and engineering teams to ensure drawings reflect as-built conditions.

• Prepare material take-offs (MTOs) and verify line specifications, weld details, and dimensions.

• Maintain drawing files and adhere to document control standards.

• Conduct field walkdowns to confirm tie-ins, routing, and dimensions.

• Support maintenance and turnaround activities with timely drafting deliverables.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience drafting piping isometrics in a refinery, petrochemical, or industrial environment.

• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D a plus).

• Familiar with ASME B31.3, refinery piping systems, and weld symbols.

• Ability to interpret P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, and inspection sketches.

• Strong communication, organization, and field coordination skills.

Schedule

• 4/10 work schedule (Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts)

• Overtime or weekend support may be required during turnarounds or special projects.
