Job Summary:
The Pipeline Operator position requires travel to various field locations, including LACT units, tank batteries, compressor stations, and delivery points. The primary focus is maintaining equipment and ensuring everything functions properly which includes starting and stopping equipment as needed to guarantee optimal operation and meet required volume targets. The operator’s work schedule requires the operator to work a rotating night shift as well as requested overtime throughout the workweek.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Possesses knowledge of company and industry practices, construction standards, and relevant regulations (OSHA, DOT, PHMSA, BLM).
•Troubleshoots and restarts mechanical equipment.
•Contributes to achieving run time and reliability goals through maintenance rounds and performing minor tasks.
•Assists in developing and maintaining maintenance and operation scopes, schedules, and procedures.
•Identifies equipment abnormalities.
•Always adheres to proper PPE guidelines.
•Ensures proper flow, temperature, and density on LACT units.
•Manages pigging operations for gas and crude pipelines.
•Proficient in using computer programs like word documents and Excel spreadsheets to complete assigned tasks.
•Maintains communication with other operators on shift.
•Responsible for housekeeping and operation of Crude Terminal and LACT units.
•Maintains regulatory compliance at the Terminal, LACT units, and pipeline.
•Assists other department staff and takes on additional responsibilities as directed by the Operations Manager.
•Possesses knowledge in various job areas, including valves, pumps, pipelines, and measurement.
•Performs additional assignments and duties as needed by the department.
•Prioritizes safety and efficiency in all tasks.
•Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
•High school diploma or equivalency
•Experience in the natural gas or liquid pipeline industry
•1 year of experience working with inspections, installation, and repairs of pipelines
•1 year of experience operating pipelines and/or working in processing plants is preferred
Certifications:
•Industry related technical certifications
