Job Title: Pipeline Dozer Operator

Job Summary:
West Penn Energy Services LLC is seeking a skilled Pipeline Dozer Operator with winching experience and finish dozer capabilities for an upcoming pipeline construction project in Cameron, WV, starting in late Spring and continuing through the Fall. This is a project-based position with the potential for continued work on future projects based on performance and business needs. The Dozer Operator will be responsible for operating dozers and other heavy equipment used in right-of-way (ROW) preparation, grading, winching, and support of pipeline installation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
•Operate dozers to perform rough and finish grading, maintain ROW, and support pipe installation operations.
•Use winch-equipped dozers to assist with pipe handling, pulling equipment, and other critical lifting/moving tasks on-site.
•Perform tasks such as cutting slopes, backfilling trenches, building ramps, and creating stable work pads.
•Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform minor maintenance to ensure safe and reliable equipment performance.
•Work closely with foremen, welders, sideboom operators, and ground crews to coordinate work efficiently.
•Maintain safe distances from underground utilities and other hazards; follow all excavation and pipeline safety protocols.
•Assist with transporting, loading, and unloading equipment on job sites.
•Complete equipment logs, maintenance records, and safety checklists accurately.
•Adhere strictly to company safety standards and OSHA/Pipeline safety requirements.
•Perform additional duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.
Qualifications:
•Minimum 3 years of experience operating dozers in pipeline construction (required).
•Winching experience using cable- or hydraulic-equipped dozers (required).
•Proven ability to perform precision/finish dozer work including grading to spec.
•Familiarity with pipeline construction methods, trench safety, and ROW preparation.
•Ability to read and understand blueprints and project drawings (preferred).
•Must be able to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
•Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a coordinated crew.
•Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
•Willingness to travel, work overtime, and stay overnight as required.
•Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
•OSHA 10/30 and other safety certifications (preferred).
Working Conditions:
•Work performed in outdoor, all-weather conditions on active job sites.
•Exposure to uneven terrain, moving equipment, and loud noise.
•May include long hours and weekend work to meet project timelines.
•Frequent bending, climbing, walking, and lifting involved.
Physical Requirements:
•Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.
•Capable of standing, kneeling, crouching, and climbing in rugged environments.
•Comfortable working in confined or elevated areas.
