- Remotely monitor operating conditions of pipelines for clients
- Perform remote operations to pipelines such as starting and shutting down pumps, opening and closing valves, and setting flow rates.
- Recognize emergency conditions and when they arise and be able to take proper actions to prevent or minimize damage to property or any persons affected by providing a timely and accurate solution
- Provide incident management and escalation; notification and communication
- Accept and direct phone calls received from the public, businesses or government agencies as a first line response center
- Notify clients of abnormal operating conditions and emergency conditions as they occur
- Maintain records and reports related to the pipeline operations and emergency situations
- Comply with Federal and State regulations as set forth by the Department of Transportation
- Log information received during shift; answers operating questions; advises supervisor of changes from normal; monitors weather conditions; notifies management of emergencies.
