Here is how the Midstream Pipeline Construction Manager role will impact our business:

The Midstream Pipeline Construction Manager is a key contributor to the successful execution of natural gas pipeline projects across our gathering and transmission systems. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of pipeline construction in the field—from right-of-way preparation through commissioning—ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The role requires strong leadership in managing contractors, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and upholding environmental, safety, and quality standards. This position directly supports the scalability, reliability, and performance of our pipeline infrastructure and offers opportunities to make a lasting impact on the growth of our Midstream operations.


The Midstream Pipeline Construction Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Manage the full lifecycle of pipeline construction projects from project inception to project turn over.
Serve as the primary field liaison between project management, engineering, operations, land, and third-party contractors.
Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with design specifications, construction drawings, and applicable codes and regulations.
Lead daily field meetings, track progress, address construction issues, and ensure adherence to project schedules.
Oversee contractor performance and enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Monitor and document all construction activities including redlines, as-builts, inspection reports, and material traceability.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of pipe, materials, and equipment.
Support permitting and regulatory compliance efforts throughout construction and ensure alignment with DOT/PHMSA requirements.
Facilitate pipeline inspections, pressure tests, and commissioning activities in preparation for turnover to operations.
Contribute to contractor selection, bid review, and cost tracking processes.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure job sites comply with company EHS policies and procedures.



Required Experience and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field — OR equivalent relevant field experience.
Minimum of 5 years of construction management experience in the natural gas pipeline or oil & gas industry.
Strong working knowledge of pipeline construction techniques and standards.
Experience managing pipeline projects under DOT/PHMSA regulatory frameworks.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, alignment sheets, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and contractors simultaneously in remote field environments.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently to field locations.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction documentation tools.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and extended field assignments as needed.
9/80 work schedule.



Preferred Experience and Skills:

Experience with pipeline gathering systems and transmission infrastructure.
Familiarity with construction management software such as:
+ Smartsheet, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, GIS tools, Microsoft Project.
Knowledge of environmental permitting processes and ROW management.
Previous experience coordinating with landowners, inspectors, and third-party stakeholders.
Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (ASME B31.8, API, ASTM, DOT Part 192).



Preferred Location:

This hybrid role includes regular travel to pipeline construction sites, remote work as appropriate, and in-office collaboration in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
