Install pipe for storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water mains.
· Prepare and assess construction sites to eliminate or identify possible hazards.
· Understand and properly execute instructions from supervisor for daily work activities.
· Properly and effectively signal equipment operators to facilitate grade, alignment, movement or adjustment of equipment or materials.
· Assist equipment operators in the excavation of trenches to design slopes and grades from survey layout and construction plans.
· Provide assistance to equipment operators in identifying hazards within blinds spots when working in close proximity to existing constructions that could be damaged from heavy equipment.
· Measure, mark or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed.
· Knowledge of the use of levels and lasers to prepare trench grade.
· Must be able to perform basic mathematic calculations necessary to lay pipe at proper grades/alignment.
· Proper operation of small tools necessary to perform pipe installation.
· Provide all hand excavation to locate existing underground utilities.
· Understanding of basic fundamentals of proper pipe installation means and methods.
· Must be able to provide own transportation to various job sites around the Denver Metro area.

· Knowledge of construction safety, equipment and tools
· Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors and fellow employees.
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Must be able to complete a background check, pre-employment physical and drug testing.
· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
· Must be able to maintain punctual attendance.
· Ability to stand frequently for extended periods of time.
· Occasionally will need to bend, twist or climb ladders and equipment.
· Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs safely.
· Ability to work consistently in a variety of weather conditions.
