THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently hiring for the role of Pipefitter/Steamfitter for both our Day Shift (Mon -Fri-6:00am-2:30pm) and Night Shift (4:30pm-2:30am).

In this role you would be responsible for the assembly and installation of all utility piping, valves, fittings, and equipment on the compressor package in accordance with industry and Bidell standards while ensuring all safety procedures, standards and best practices are maintained.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following):

COMPETENCIES (required skills and abilities):

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds. Stand, kneel, bend, stoop, move, and walk long distances and in small areas with many moving pieces/parts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a manufacturing environment. The employee is exposed to hot, cold, and outside weather conditions. Employees are working with moving mechanical parts, fumes and caustic chemicals are present. The noise level in the environment includes exposure to loud noise levels.
