Pipefitter

The pipefitter will be responsible for assembling, layout, installing, and maintaining pipe systems on steam, fluid, or gas systems. Pipe systems may include but not limited to pipe, flanges, supports, valves, gauges, hangars, and angles. Pipefitter must have a strong understanding of pipefitting tools and practices.

Responsibilities:

- Perform measurement verification welds as required.

- Tack your own fits.

- Interpret and fabricate in accordance with isometrics/drawing details to stringent dimensional tolerances.

- Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading

- Perform quality work with limited oversight and/or instructions.

- Perform other duties as required that support shop projects.

EXPERIENCE rEQUIRED:

- Pipefitting: 5 years (Required)

pHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers

- Work that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 50 pounds, carry at least 30 pounds and up to 150 pounds with help

- Frequent movement to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.

- Ability to operate job related tools

- Significant and sustained periods of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting.

- Will use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception and peripheral vision.

- Ability to work in hot/cold environments
