Pipefitter and apprentice

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pipefitting, including experience with various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems in various settings, including manufacturing and construction environments. Your mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools will be essential to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Duties

- Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for HVAC, plumbing, and other applications

- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications

- Perform MIG and TIG welding as required for pipe fabrication and repairs

- Utilize hand tools and calipers effectively to measure and cut pipes accurately

- Conduct rigging operations to safely lift and position heavy materials

- Troubleshoot issues within piping systems and perform necessary maintenance

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements

- Proven experience in pipefitting or related fields such as manufacturing or construction

- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, plumbing, and HVAC systems

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe installation

- Familiarity with rigging techniques and safety protocols

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately

- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
