Picker/General Laborer

Description:

The Picker/General Laborer position is responsible for observing and removing materials from a sorting belt or shredding area to ensure compliance with company material guidelines.

Essential Functions:

- Observes, sorts, removes and discards material from sorting belt or shredding area

- Demonstrates knowledge of metal materials such as ferrous and non-ferrous

- Assists with general cleanup of picking area

- Reports all maintenance or mechanical issues to supervisor

- May be trained to operate forklift

- Adheres to all PNW Metal Recycling, Inc. safety policies and standards

- Other duties or cross-training in other positions may be assigned

Qualifications:

- 1-2 years general labor experience desired

- Ability to speak and understand English required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
