Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Open Pit Surveyor with our Phoenix - Open Pit Engineering department. The successful candidate will provide a high-level of accurate surveying and sampling to the Mining Group as part of the open pit mining operation.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chief Surveyor, the Open Pit Surveyor is responsible for the following:

•

Collect Daily: open pit drill samples, trench sampling, grab samples, proof samples. There will be approximately 150 to 300 samples per day. Sampling will caught up to the drills daily.

•

Keep current updates of maps and tags of drill patterns.

•

Keep good inventory of sample bags, tools, tags, printer tape.

•

Keep current with process sampling as needed.

•

Complete other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

•

Must be able to carry 50 pounds required

•

Must be self-driven and motivated to learn required

•

Basic computer skills required

•

Able to pre plan for maximum efficiency required

•

Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions for long periods of time required

•

Team leader, problem solving, excellent verbal skills and communication required

•

Excellent safety record and ability to demonstrate safety leadership required

•

Wear a respirator required

•

Able to work alone required
