We are looking to hire a Payroll & Benefits Administrator
based out of our
Calgary Corporate Office or Grande Prairie Branch. The Payroll & Benefits Administrator is responsible for assisting with administration of the company payroll and benefits programs, including full cycle payroll processing, reconciliations and field ticket entry. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in processing while providing excellent service to employees.
- Assist in processing the companywide payroll for all employees and contractors, including auditing payroll processing reports for accuracy.
- Respond to and address all routine staff inquiries and concerns regarding paycheques and payroll administration.
- Daily field ticket entry and field ticket resolution.
- Ensure compliance with legislated employment standards in the jurisdictions in which we work.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end reports including T4/T4As/T2200s and provide required information as requested for internal stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing payroll for annual audits.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including group benefits programs and the corporate RRSP/TFSA program.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of employee and pay information.
- Identify opportunities to streamline the payroll and benefits processes, reduce errors, and enhance the overall employee experience.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma; post-secondary certificate, or college diploma with 2 or more years of relevant experience.
- Working towards professional designation (PCP).
- Knowledge of Canadian benefit trends, payroll, and employment standards legislation.
- Demonstrated attentiveness to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering data.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Maintain positive and effective working relationships with employees, service providers and other stakeholders.
- Strong work ethic and highly motivated; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to action requests and competing deadlines in a timely manner.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 programs and knowledge of GP Dynamics (Great Plains), ADP Workforce Now or similar systems.
