Parts Inspector Material Handler - Weekend Shift
Job Summary: The Parts Inspector Material Handlerwill perform quality inspections on finished parts, staging of product for brake press operations and moving finished product to shipping. The weekend shift consists of 3 ten-hour afternoon shifts.
Key Responsibilities Parts Inspection:
•Responsible for all aspects of production inspection of semi-finished and of finished product to confirm compliance with drawing and technical requirements of components.
•Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) on production runs.
•Reading drawings to determine critical tolerance parameters. Complete quality checks on work in process to ensure compliance with technical specification and assembly processes and instructions.
•Verify dimensions of parts using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, protractors, and height gauges.
•Completion of Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR’s) in the ERP system.
•Collaborating with the Team members to manage the priority of inspections.
•Ensure work is performed in accordance with OHSA practices and internal company policies specific to Personal Protective Equipment.
Key Responsibilities Material Handling:
•Moving and staging of production material and components required for work orders.
•Movement of finished components to shipping area.
•Packaging and banding of product.
•Preparing labels and shipping documents
•Counting parts inventory and reconciling counts to work orders.
•Maintain production floor staging areas to housekeeping standards of cleanliness and organization.
Knowledge and Skills:
•Crane certification an asset
•Extensive knowledge of, blueprints, shop drawings.
•Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings with emphasis on dimensions and tolerances.
•Sound understanding of inspection tools and standard practices for the use of measuring equipment such as gauges, tape measures, calipers, angle finders, squares etc.
•Possess effective communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
•Ability to use a PC and experience or exposure in an ERP computerized environment.

Education:
•Minimum 2 years work related experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
