We are looking for a Part-Time Welder with proven experience in stick welding (SMAW) stainless steel repair work. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of working independently on small-scale fabrication and repair projects. This is a hands-on role that requires accuracy, cleanliness, and an understanding of stainless steel welding techniques.
- Perform stick welding (SMAW) on stainless steel surfaces and components.
- Carry out repairs on stainless steel fixtures, baskets, and other components used in the production process in a “benchtop” welding room.
- Prepare surfaces for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and aligning components.
- Use hand tools, grinders, and measuring instruments with precision.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Adhere strictly to welding and shop safety protocols.
- Complete jobs efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Proven experience in stick welding stainless steel (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
- Knowledge of stainless steel welding properties, distortion control, and finish quality.
- Welding certification(s) a plus but not required.
- Ability to interpret repair instructions.
- High attention to detail and quality finish.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks safely.
- Schedule: Part-time; 2–3 days per week, flexible hours, 10-20 hours/week
