Paralegal – Civil Litigation
On-site | Scottsdale, AZ
$75,000 – $90,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Overview:
We’re partnering with a highly respected litigation-focused legal team in Scottsdale that’s looking for a sharp, dependable Paralegal with 2+ years of civil litigation experience. If you’ve managed litigation cases from intake to settlement or trial, drafted court documents, and understand deadlines and e-filing like second nature — this could be the right fit. You’ll work closely with attorneys supporting clients in a variety of sectors, including those in public policy and political affairs.
What You’ll Do:
•Draft legal documents including complaints, motions, discovery requests/responses, and subpoenas
•File pleadings, exhibits, and other documents in both state and federal courts (via CM/ECF, File & Serve, etc.)
•Manage trial calendars, deposition scheduling, and key legal deadlines (not just admin scheduling)
•Own full case files through all phases of litigation (discovery, trial prep, and resolution)
•Perform legal research and prepare concise summaries for attorneys
•Interface directly with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and outside vendors
•Assist with collections-related documentation in support of the Accounts Receivable team
•Use tools like Clio, FileVine, Relativity, and advanced PDF/Office software to manage documents and exhibits
What We’re Looking For:
Top Must-Haves:
•2+ years of civil litigation experience
•Strong drafting skills (complaints, motions, discovery)
•Experience with filing/submitting documents in court (state & federal)
•Calendar management related to trial and court proceedings
•ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate (UC schools, state bar associations, or ABA-endorsed programs preferred)
•Strong understanding of the civil litigation process, including discovery obligations
•Legal tech fluency – familiar with litigation-specific case management platforms
•Professional communication skills in high-stakes legal environments
Bonus:
•Bilingual (Spanish) – not required, but a strong plus given Arizona’s market
