This position is responsible for assembling control panels and providing inventory management for our team of professionals who provide high-end engineering consulting design, construction, and maintenance services.

- Ensure all materials, components, and supplies are accurately received, inspected, and logged into the inventory system.
- Evaluate and maintain accurate inventory levels, track the usage of materials, and assist with periodic physical inventory counts.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials in the stockroom to ensure easy access and minimize loss or damage.
- Communicate with the procurement team regarding material shortages, delays, or quality concerns.
- Select and organize materials and components for upcoming projects, ensuring they are staged and ready for production.
- Package and label parts appropriately for transportation to project areas or other departments.
- Assembly of electrical control panels to include drilling, mounting, and wiring
- Metal work – sawing, cutting, drilling, and tapping to mount devices and components onto cabinet inner panels, cabinet doors and walls
- Relay and server rack assembly – 19 inch and 24 inch rack assembly
- Communication cable and connector termination (RJ11, RJ45, specialty)
- Panel wiring – conductor routing, termination, harnessing, and cabling to support 5VDC up to 480VAC.
- Wiring of PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, Industrial Computers, Data concentrators, Controllers, Power Relays and Meters, Cell modems, routers and other control and monitoring components.
- Ensure the workspace, tools, and equipment are maintained in a clean and safe condition, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports related to inventory, materials, and panel assembly activities.
- Provide feedback to improve inventory control processes, material handling, and control panel assembly efficiency.
- Basic knowledge of electrical components and industrial control panels (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in both inventory management and electrical assembly.
- Forklift operation certification or experience (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods of time.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training or certifications in industrial controls, electrical assembly, or inventory management is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in material receiving, inventory control, or a related field.
- Work experience in the construction or engineering industry is an advantage
- Outstanding initiative, well-organized and strong sense of responsibility
- Excellent computer knowledge and advanced skills using QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel are required
Little to no travel is expected for this position
This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, working with power and manual tools, and bending or standing at a work bench for a prolonged period of time.
