Assemble, install, program, operate, test, maintain, or calibrate automated, mechanical, or electromechanical equipment associated primarily in the water and waste water industry.
- Install, align, fit, or assemble component parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures or templates.
- Test performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment.
- Read drawings, schematics, or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
- Confer with co-workers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Prepare written documentation of electromechanical design and operational test results.
- Repair, rework, or calibrate electromechanical equipment or systems to meet operational specifications.
- Assist in Factory Authorized Testing (FAT).
- Select tools, equipment, or technologies for use in operations or projects.
- Adhere to safety regulations in the panel building workspaces.
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and system components.
- Ensure company procedures and quality assurance of finished products is achieved.
- Document all work performed for projects and services provided.
- Perform various duties as assigned by manager.
2 years experience working within a similar environment
Ability to sit for prolonged period of times, with small amounts of bending, stretching, and lifting
Physical hand dexterity and full range of motion for operation of basic office machines
Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
Some physical labor may be required, i.e. occasional lifting up to 100 lbs., working in tight spaces, climb ladders, etc.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee will frequently work near moving mechanical parts. May also work in high, precarious places; outdoor weather conditions, and potentially be exposed to a risk of electrical shock.
