Metal Products Company provides a high-volume, low-cost source for gauge metal stampings to serve the requirements of the plumbing, electrical, masonry and general construction trades.
We provide retailers and distributors with a variety of custom packaging services and options. Our custom packaging department has the ability to apply custom labels, that can include logos, part numbers and bar codes. Labels can be applied to boxes, bags or individual parts, to satisfy specific marketing and display requirements.
The Packaging Operators are responsible for taking the finished metal product and ensuring it's packaged in line with company and industry standards. As an employee in the packaging department, you will need to be able to perform repetitive tasks competently and efficiently.
- Use automated equipment to count and package finished parts
- Physically count parts accurately and efficiently
- Apply appropriate labels to boxes, bags and/or individual parts
- Set up and maintain automated equipment
- Accurately follow oral and written instructions
- Report to supervisor any necessary information if problems arise or if machines are not in good working order
- Responsible for clean up of work area at the end of each workday
- Perform various other tasks when required
Packaging employees will maintain applicable paper flow and will be responsible for following all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook. Packaging employees will also comply with all company general safety rules as specifically outlined in the employee handbook and meet the mental and physical specifications out lined in the job’s selection description.
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus
- Experience in packaging or assembly process
- Adherence to health and safety regulations
- Attention to detail

- Strong Communication and Teamwork
- Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day
- Recurring bending, and squatting
- Use hands for simple grasping, push/pull, and fine manipulation
Continuous mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness to monitor the production process and/or identify defects.
